For most online businesses, an autoresponder is an absolute necessity!Saving you time, reducing stress, and building customer loyalty. So you can make more money!
So...What Makes Autoresponders So Powerful?
An autoresponder is a message or series of messages that you can send out instantly, and automatically on scheduled days after you receive their initial request. It can be in the form of either a note letting someone know your received their request and you'll get back to them as soon as your can. A series of information that you are providing in an email. Or your newsletter. Providing you the opportunity to stay in contact with your most targeted, and profitable readers as often as you like. Driving visitors back to your website. Directly or indirectly exposing your readers to your products and services. Drastically increasing your odds of a sale...All without spending any additional money on marketing or advertising. Watch your sales explode...
That's what makes autoresponders so powerful.Even if you only make an additional $500. each week from just one email, do you think it would it be worth writing? An email that may take you a couple of minutes to write? How about an newsletter that brings in about $1,000. within a week of mailing out? All without additional expenses. Work once, get paid for your efforts again and again!

Will Your Prospects or Customers Forget You...
There are several basic benefits that autoresponders provide that absolutely necessary for your online business:
- You will dramatically increase your sales just by reaching out to your readers consistently. On average, you will need to get in front of your prospects at least 7 times before they will make a purchase. Typically, most don't purchase on the first visit to your site. Once they leave, you don't want them to forget about you. Let your autoresponder take care of that for you. Sending your consistent messages automatically.
- You can easily educate your prospects about your products or services with the help of your autoresponder. They may not initially recognize your brand or the benefits you can provide for them. Simply send out planned messages that you create, providing the information to help them make an informed decision.
- Your customer may not have the money that day or they need to wait before making their purchase. So you don't want them to forget about you when they are ready. An autoresponder enables you to be there, when they are ready without any extra effort on your part.
- Most people lead very busy lives. Ask any mom how much free time she really has. Sometimes, life just happens. So, maybe someone is busy today. But it is possible that next week or even next month, they won't be. You can easily be there when the time and circumstances are right.
- You can build instant credibility. People buy from people they know, like, and trust. You must build a relationship first. Newsletters tend to create instant credibility. By sending frequent and consistent emails or newsletters, your prospects will feel that they are getting to know you. So help them decide whether to trust you enough to buy from you.
- "The money is in the list." You may of heard that a couple of hundred times, but it is true. A list of prospects or current customers is essential for every business. Don't waste the traffic you have worked so hard to obtain. Without traffic, your business will not grow. People can not buy what they do not know about.
With an autoresponder, you can personalize your email or newsletter. Send it sent out instantly. Obtain the statistics you need to evaluate how effective your efforts were.

What Your Message Should Include
There are several formats your can use to send an autoresponder. Either in plain text, HTML, or both. If possible, you should consider sending both so that the recipient can use the format that they need depending on their provider. The first message should be a Thank You or a welcome message. For requesting your newsletter, special report, or free e-book. For an e-mail series, send a couple of emails that provide some information that your prospect/customer will find usefully and beneficial. You will reap the rewards later. A newsletter should have a combination of information and include your sales message.
Now that you have started to build a relationship with your reader, you can send a sales letter. Simply provide a recommendation for a product or service. Don't try to sell in your letter. Just provide your recommendation letting them know why you found it useful, or created it. Giving them your link for your website or affiliate link where they can get additional information. Your website or affiliate link should be able to make the sale for you. Most people don't enjoy the hard sell. Ultimately it would be better for the reader not to click on your link today, then to have them unsubscribe.
Protect Yourself
Most autoresponders give you the choice whether or not your subscribers will have to complete a double opt in verification. You can do some testing and see which works best for you. Generally, you will find that if someone is not interested enough to open your email and click on a confirmation link in the email, that they're probably not that interested in becoming your customer anyway. It is better to concentrate on your targeted market, then the whole market. Plus, you should be careful of spam. You would not want to be accused of sending out Spam, and finding your email shut down. Too many people forget that they signed up for your newsletter or to receive your information. With double opt in, you protect yourself from any complaints...
There are 2 Autoresponders That I Recommend You Look At
Aweber and GetResponse. Both services have monthly fees of less than $20. Aweber and GetResponse have similar features and the pricing are pretty close so you may want to test drive both services to see which service meets your business needs better. The service I use is Aweber. I started with Aweber a couple of years ago.
