Want the Truth on MLM?
There are numerous network marketing scams to be found on the net. But in reality, it is no different than any other business or market.
Network Marketing, or Multilevel Marketing is a legitimate business model. But just like any other business, you need to use common sense when selecting a business. While there are numerous scams to be found you can avoid them if you know what to look for.
6 Network Marketing Scams to avoid: - Do you really believe you can start making $10,000. per week after one month in business?
- Is it really possible that your downline can be built automatically just by joining? Why do they need you?
- Will you have to give your first two or three customers to the person who brought you into the business? How many prospects will you have to refer before you actual "know" that they join?
- Are you being pushed to sell the opportunity only and not the product? I would be very cautious if you are. There should be an even balance between the opportunity and product/service for your business to succeed. Is there even a product? There should be, if not, it's illegal.
- Is the product or service overpriced in order for the company to pay commissions? If it is, you end up with only customers that are interested in the opportunity. The company should have more customers than business builders.
- Does the product or service have a edge or feature that no one else has? People will not make a purchase if they don't see the value in your product or service.
As a mom, you must protect your family by doing your due diligence before you starting a business.
What is the Truth on MLM?
The truth is network marketing does have a failure rate of about 97%. You're probably wondering "If the failure rate is so high, why would anyone join a network marketing business?" Well, you need to look at the 5 major reasons why the rate is so high and learn what you can do to become one of the 3% who succeed instead.
4 Major Reasons People Fail:
- 1 - It's Too Easy to Join -
Because of the relatively low cost to start up a business, people join a company and start their business without really taking it seriously. NWM is a business. Not a hobby. Most don't consider that it takes work, planning, and skills to make any business succeed. Very few take the time to even write out their ideas or goals. So for you to succeed, treat this as a business, start out with
a solid business plan.
Your plan doesn't need to be too elaborate, but you will benefit from the time you put in beforehand joining. 2 - Lack of Money - Typically there is an initial fee when joining a company. While most people may be able to easily afford the sign up fee, they fail to consider is that it may take several months before you can develop your skills to where you could be earn an income. In the meantime, you typically have a commitment to purchase a minimum amount of their product or service each month and will have operating costs such as phone expenses.Plus, as in almost every business, you will have some marketing expenses to generate customers. Make sure you develop a
monthly budget.
3 - Few Prospects - This is a big challenge of most network marketers. Finding prospects. This is no different from typical businesses. You will need to do at least some marketing to obtain customers. Your marketing should be planned out to get the most for your money and efforts. Plus, you need to track what works and what does not.So, if you want to succeed, make sure you develop
a monthly marketing plan.
I can show you methods to market you business without spending any money, but keep in mind, with these methods you will pay in time spent working. Your plan doesn't have to be too elaborate, but you will benefit from the time you put in beforehand providing your business a blueprint for success. 4 - Under-developed skills - Under-developed skills is the number one reason for failure in network marketing. As in any business, there are some tasks that you will have to complete yourself. As your business begins to grow, and your budget allows, there will be tasks that you can and need to hire others to complete for you.
But how do you develop the skills you need until you're earning enough money to hire the task out? Will you have to learn this on your own or does your recruiter have a system that will provide the tools, training, and resources that you will need to succeed?

An Ethical Business
Despite the pitfalls of the Network Marketing Industry, I still consider the NWM industry more ethical way to earn money then some other businesses. Why? Because it's a business about helping other people.
How many people have jobs where the owners or upper level management, and supervisors want to teach and help the people below them to do better then themselves? Have you ever had a job where your boss encourages you to do better than they did?
