How to Evaluate A Work at Home Moms Opportunity
Selecting the right kind of business is a difficult process for anyone looking to work from home. Many women dream of a stay at home moms business. Sadly, many don't get started because they simply don't know how to evaluate a work from home opportunity. Never finding the right business to choose.
Let's face it. Searching the internet for business opportunities can b@
Things to Consider:
Is it What You Want
Do you want to be a mompreneur? Are you looking for a part time business opportunities, or full time. Traditional or online business... To earn extra money at home...Involve your family? Do you want to delegate some aspects to others?Determine your interests, goals,
skills and unique qualities.
What you would enjoy doing and can get passionate about... Spend time educating yourself before jumping into an opportunity you come across. Explore various options.
Your Lifestyle
Select a business whose characteristics are compatible with your family and lifestyle. If you have a newborn or toddler, is it a business that would allow you to take care of your kids. If you have to make or receive any phone calls, can you schedule a time to complete the calls without interruption? If your children are old enough to be in school, is this something you can do during school hours? Does it fit with well with your children's schedule if you home school? Can you work after you husband comes home or while they are asleep? If you are a single mom, do you have enough support? Can your family members become involved in the business and have fun working it together? Teaching your children at the same time. And share in its success?
Growth Potential
Does the business have long term growth potential? If you are looking to become an independent representative, for a company, it's important to find out how long the business has been around. If the business has been around a while, the market may be too saturated with other representatives to make any headway. The failure rate for companies that have not been around more than 3 years, is much higher. Do you want to put a lot of effort into building a business that may not be there in 6 months? Can the business be expanded to include other streams of income?
Profit Potential
Start a business that you think has a solid potential to be profitable. Your return on your investment of time and money is clearly worth the effort. You may have passion for your hobby, or sport, but can you really a profit from it? Do you think there is a demand for it? Is it unique or can your create a product or service which can't be obtain more easily or cheaply elsewhere? Bring you recurring sales and income? How much money is realistic? How long will it take you to achieve that level? If you have a job, can you forecast when you can quit and become a work from home mom?
Make Real Money From Home
Is it a system that is proven to make money? Can you start making money quickly or will it take some time before you see any results? Do you have the patience to see it through? Can you earn residual income that keeps coming in whether you work or not? It does take some time and effort. At least, in the beginning. But if set up right, a business should run with little or almost no effort from you...And continue to grow. Provide personal and financial freedom.
Legitimate Business
Are they making unrealistic income claims? The very first line in the website states you can make tens of thousands a week working from home. Is this a realistically claim? Have they given any proof? With little or no experience needed? If everyone could do this, why aren't they? You can work just a few hours a week and still make a lot of money. Realistic? Are you are pressured to make a decision immediately and are made to feel stupid if you say no to their offer.
Multiple Streams of Income
Does it have the opportunity for multiple streams of income? Can you think of other ways to monetize your business or idea?Consider a business that has the potential for multiply streams of income opportunity, over one that does not. Reduce you risks tremendously. Never depend on one source of income for your business. If one stream fails or slows down, you still have others to keep you going.
Training
Does the business have a training program set up and in place? Or can you find resources available for you to educate yourself? Reducing the learning curve? Does it require a lot of research and reading time?
How much money will it take to get started? To join. Reoccurring monthly expenses. And as with any business, you will have some
marketing expenses.
Do you know what is realistic? How long is reasonable for you expect to get past the learning curve? How much money do you have to invest? Or will you need to get investors or a loan?
Other Issues
Do you have sufficient space to run the business you are considering? Will it be continue to be sufficient? Does it require a lot of research skills or reading time? Do you find that time? Are there any zoning issues? Are you able to return merchandise if it doesn't sell? Is there a money back guarantee?
